Thanks to everyone who came out last Friday to see my set.  Your support is much appreciated! If you stayed for the entire show then you know that Warren G made a surprise appearance/performance.  It was a fun experience to be playing in the same building as Warren G and dj ever.  I might b back at Ten or another club next month…I’ll keep you all posted. Until then, I’m working on a new original electro house song that will be on beatport and fb very soon. Can’t wait for you all to hear!

Baxter (Original Mix) on VibeDeck, YouTube, and Band Page

With much anticipation, Baxter (Original Mix) is now available on VibeDeck, YouTube and Kenny Klutch’s band page. This new electro house single reflects significant change from the album “Concepts.” Kenny Klutch explains, “Baxter is just harder. I wanted to create something that was more rugged and exciting. You really don’t know what to expect before the drop…but when it does, you can resist the temptation to move.” Orange County and Southern California can expect great things from Kenny Klutch. He continues to work on new progressive house and electro house productions. Show dates and news to follow. Baxter (Original Mix) on VibeDeck

Dance and Progressive House Music Sets the Stage for Grammy After-Party

Deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia brought L.A.’s House of Blues to life after the Grammys. Billed as a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, tickets were priced at $250 to $1,000. I’m sure the people who put on the show had to create a draw….and with progressive house and trance climbing the billboards, it only seemed right to have some of the hottest names in the industry perform. As Rolling Stone described, Rihanna performed for approximately seven minutes, while Harris (who wrote and produced Rihanna’s hit “We Found Love”) played for an hour. You do the math on what people want to hear…

Tribute to Electronic Music

The Foo Fighters team up with Deadmau5, David Guetta and Lil Wayne this Sunday at the Grammys. Rolling Stone describes the event as a tribute to electronic music. As mentioned in my progressive house blog, DJs can easily be considered the new rock stars of our generation. With these artists performing on the world’s biggest musical stage, it goes to show how far electronic music and progressive house has come. I don’t usually watch the Grammys, but since these artists are performing, I just might turn on my TV to see if they give electronic music and progressive house a good name. With Deadmau5 in the mix, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

Are you going to watch the Grammys because of bands performing?

Don’t be fooled by Progressive House and Electronic Music Equipment

There’s a plethora of DJ equipment on the market, numerous mixers, turntables, controllers, etc.  All of them will accomplish the same task…to smoothly mix a continuous set of tracks, and even add your own loops and desired samples on top. The only difference between distributors is the layout. Numark, Pioneer, and Traktor virtually carry compatible and similar products with different layouts. The Traktor S2 and S4 are almost identical to Pioneers bulky Allen, the Heath “Xone” like DDJ-SI and Numark’s NS series. In the end, you have your two to four decks, hi, lo, and mid controls, cues, volume controls, and sample decks. So don’t be fooled by looks or price, you can still accomplish fat DJ sets with a low budget. I’m a minimalistic person; I don’t like to complicate my productions or mixes any more than they already are which is why I chose the Traktor S2. The S2 is just a simplified version of the S4, more mobile and straight to the point. The S2 actually dropped from $599.99 to $399.99! A recommended purchase for new and experienced DJs. Must Have Progressive House Equipment

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my recommendations on Electronic Music Production items that are a must have if you create/produce any kind of electronic or progressive house music. First and foremost, whether you produce in Ableton, FL, Logic, GB, or Acid (sucks ass), you need to use VST PLUG-INS, like Massive, Toxic, Gladiator, etc.  It’s the only way to guarantee high quality synthesized output (never settle with stocked VSTs). I have been looking into purchasing Cakewalk’s new Z3ta + 2 Plugin, which claims to be a “legendary wave shaper” and bigger and better than the original Z3ta +. Cakewalk redesigned the whole interface for the plugin, and since it’s been used in countless productions over the past several years I think it’s time I check it out, despite its relatively high price of $129.99.

DJs are the New Rock Stars

If you follow music, then you know that progressive house and electronic music are climbing up the charts. Today’s generation has definitely bought into the club culture and house music scene. The bright lights, brain melting base and club ambiance all add to the addictive experience. It’s one big party and you always want more. Artists like Skrillix, Swedish House Mafia and deadmau5 have mastered the art of performing. As the Rolling Stones article explains, they take on the vibe of a conductor. They orchestrate the audience, create tension and quench the thirst of base! Djs can easily be considered the rock stars of our generation. Read more at - http://kennyklutch.com

Learn about Mat Zo

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some input regarding the stunning work of artist “Mat Zo”. I’m straight up amazed at his House/Trance productions. His work possesses a high attention to detail in almost every aspect of producing, especially mastering, compression and dynamics. His hard hitting track “Frequency Flyer” will take you off your feet with intense melodic groove while possessing that “Club” sound. I would highly recommend taking a look at the work of Mat Zo, and two of my favorite tracks, “Superman” and “Synapse Dynamics”. Progressive House

Progressive House

Kenneth Ogden, aka “Kenny Klutch,” has established a presence in Progressive House music as an Artist and Producer. Kenny Klutch’s musical creations travel deep into the fundamentals of modern and melodic Progressive House in his first album debut, “Concepts”. In a recent interview with Kenny Klutch, he stated, “As a long- time fan of Electronic music and its diverse subgenres, my aim and purpose is to create danceable and melodic music that everyone can enjoy. What gives me the most satisfaction and contentment is when people, unfamiliar to house music, enjoy my tracks. Making music that is universally accepted is a hard thing to create. If I can make people from different sides of the globe enjoy my music, then I know that I have made something special that people can resonate with.  I began experimenting with electronic music in 2008, back in the Justice days, way before Dub-Step even scraped the surface. I used everything from the Akai Xr20 Beat Machine, Korg-Electribes, Ableton, and then finally the FL Studio 10. My recent album, titled “Concepts,” contains 11 brand new tracks, capturing what I consider to be the fundamental concepts of Progressive House.  As I enter into the Progressive House genre, as well as encompassing a new stage of my life, I plan to induce nothing but compelling beats into the hearts and minds of my listeners and fans.” Kenny Klutch has continued to “speak” to his fans and listeners with unique beats and melodies. As his music continues to grow, stay in the loop with his blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts. We appreciate all of our fans for their help and support on our continuous journey.
